Esther Hicks (née Weaver, born March 5, 1948) is an American inspirational speaker and author known for her teachings about the Law of Attraction. Her work often involves providing a voice for a group of spiritual beings known as "Abraham," who deliver messages about the nature of reality, consciousness, and personal growth.
Esther was born in Coalville, Utah. She met Jerry Hicks, who would become her husband and business partner, in 1976. The pair were deeply interested in spiritual matters and began studying a variety of religious and philosophical texts.
In 1985, Esther began channeling the teachings of a group of non-physical entities known as "Abraham." According to Esther, Abraham consists of a multitude of teachers that exist in a non-physical realm. They communicate a message of hope and enlightenment, teaching about the ability of individuals to shape their own reality through their thoughts and emotions.
Together, Esther and Jerry Hicks traveled the United States, sharing the teachings of Abraham through workshops, books, and recordings. Their work led to the creation of the Law of Attraction movement, which teaches that individuals can manifest their desires by aligning their thoughts and feelings with their intentions.
The couple has co-authored several best-selling books, including Ask and It Is Given, Money, and the Law of Attraction, and The Vortex. They've also produced numerous audio programs and videos.
Jerry Hicks passed away in 2011, but Esther continues to share the teachings of Abraham through various channels, including live workshops, online videos, books, and social media.
